    Name of your website?

    Paint Cuba

    Your name?

    Pam Sachdeva

    Your Location (city, etc)

    Warrington

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The site is intended to paint a comprehensive picture of the painting holidays and art tours in Cuba which I am marketing.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I returned from a planning trip to Cuba with lots of ideas and images that I felt would help sell these holidays and I felt that a website was the best way of communicating them to the rest of the world.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

this is my first and only website and it was launched last year.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We used the company name as it is short and self-explanatory.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

No other company offers painting holidays in Cuba with a Cuban artist-in-residence at the hotel with the tour group.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My main goal is to promote the painting holidays and art tours but I am also interested in developing the site as a resourse on Cuban art and Cuban artists.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

At present I am investing a lot of time in the venture and the success is fairly slow, but it is developing steadily.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would market the tours in the national newspapers.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes. I have put in place a sound business development plan and have sound infrastructure and support in Cuba.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

There has been a steep learning curve for me on the IT and finance side of the business but I have received support from family, friends and business links locally.

What has been your biggest challenge?

To continue to have faith in my dream despite the slow-start.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Developing links with related businesses and sites as well as paying for google Ad-words.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It has proved to be a far more creative and exciting experience than I expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

the site has been up for a year and I have no plans to close it.

Why do you think people should visit your site?

By visiting the Paint Cuba website people can learn about some of Cuba's leading artists and see some beautiful images of their work. In addition they can find out about our special interest holidays and see action shots of groups who have visited Cuba recently.

    What is your website address?

    Paint Cuba
