Twice weekly postings of my one-of-a-kind, original drawings on cardboard coffee cups, accompanied by New York stories about tea, coffee, art and life.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I blog to increase the viewer base for my artwork, and to entertain readers with inside stories of what it is like to be an artist in New York City, with kids. I am also documenting the phenomenal increase in tea and coffee bars in NYC - providing an alternative to Starbucks - plus telling tea and coffee stories.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Blogger (blogspot) because many artists are using it and it is easy to connect with them. It is also easy to use and looks clean.
What do you blog the most about?
Artists, art exhibitions, life with kids in Mid-town Manhattan, coffee, tea and my obsession with drawing on my used coffee cups. I post one of my coffee cup drawing each time I add a new piece of writing.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Anonymous bloggers who attack other people. Put your real name to it if you are going to say it at all.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Blog about something close to you heart - other than yourself. Brain-storm material before you begin. Edit, edit, and then re-edit. Have fun or don't do it at all. Plan for the long haul.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I have heard that this is possible but have not currently introduced any money-making ventures to my blog.

Since beginning of March 2010
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
2 hours a day.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I am new to this, so haven't started tracking RSS feeds yet.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
Good suggestion. Have to check that out. I have looked at Delicious.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
Another good one to check out.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Direct e-mails to my mailing list and alerting an artists list-serve to which I belong to relevant posts. Both use get people over to the blog and e-mailing comments to me. Posting links on Twitter and Facebook also bring readers.
