It is a great thing that this Rembrandt drawing which was stolen from a hotel in Los Angeles was already recovered. What is so shocking about the news is that, it was found in a church about 25 miles away from where the drawing was stolen. This is very scary, you see, even in hotels, these burglars still break in and steal something. Well, it was not just 'something' because it costs a lot. A brimming $250, 000. Wow! That was quite a fortune! I hope that the curator will be careful this time around. Link: Stolen Rembrandt drawing found in church | Art and desi

Do artists need to have boundaries in how they should express their views through their artworks? Should they be sensitive enough so they won't step on what most believe? Recently in the Philippines, an art exhibit has be shut down because of how it presented one of its pieces which has enraged religious clerics in the country. The installation art "Politeismo" in the "Kulo (Boil)" exhibit present many iconic figures including depiction of Jesus Christ and crucifixes attached with a phallus.Link: Read more: Does Art Have Limits? I am told that Quito's Central Bank Museum is one of the best museums to visit in Quito. Being a museum lover myself, I would wonder what it is that makes the Central Bank Museum so special? As far as I can gather, what makes this museum so attractive is the fact that the museum holds a wide variety of exhibits which basically contain everything you would want to go to Ecuador to see that you could see inside a building, from archaeological pieces to contemporary art. Yet, since what I love about museums are their speciality, the idea of everything in one museum, doesn't sound all that appealing to me. Link: Quito's Central Bank Museum (banking); Ecuador

I am one of those who have a great appreciation to arts like painting, sculpting, drawing, and the like. I am so impressed with the unique skills and creativity of the professional and amateur artists who were able to make religious arts. Every time I see sacred scenery on paintings, I can recall events in the bible. Whether you are a Christian or not you will surely appreciate the aesthetic beauty of this artwork. Gods and Goddesses are also great subjects for a particular form of art. They are so amazing.Link: More Than Just Art Part Two (art appreciation); Art Wor

We've all seen office space, where the frustrated cubicle worker takes a drill to his four by four hole thus affording him a window view from his desk. An aesthetic office environment can increase productivity, morale, positive thinking and more, but we all agree with that! The question is, how can overtaxed, union harried employers afford extra window light or artwork in the office without having to cut salaries or other amenities? A simple solution is offered by one article. Use photographs, either of the product or services your company provides, which can often seem a bit orwellian, or of nature or other beautiful scenes. The article even suggests holding photography contests with cheap prizes for the employees, and then portraying the results in the office once the contest is over.
