Bad Economy also strikes through art enthusiasts. Recently, A Russian painting masterpiece that was expected to go for U.S. $3 million at Sotheby's New York sale found no buyer at all.
The "View of St. Petersburg" by Alexi Petrovish Bogoliubov, Russian Impressionist of modern period was presented to the auction but unluckily no one wanted the piece.
A number of 20th - century masterpieces were also left unsold with the said annual fall art season.
