Name of your website?

Londonderry Fine Art & Design

Your name?

Michael

Your Location (city, etc)

Londonderry

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We create and sell original fine art & accessories. Including custom & celebrity portraits, sports art, murals & more.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To expand our business.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

About a year ago. The site was very simple and more of a postcard raher than an interactive site like it is now.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was the town the business was started in. I always liked the name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We only create specialized one of a kind original artwork. We offer very quick turnaround times on custom orders, usually one week. Every work produced comes with a Certificate of Authenticity sign by the artist. In most cases, we can paint a custom image working only with a high quality photograph emailed to us.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My eventual goal is to produce a line of fine art collectbles that range from standard wall paintings to high quality art prints & an art to wear line of clothing.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Like any small business, time & money are something you never have enough of.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

1. Hire an office manager. 2. Hire a marketing person. 3. Set up a very small brick and mortar showroom. 4. Show at more trade shows & events.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Find and hire qualified individuals to delegates the basic day to day needs of the business to so I could consentrate on the creative and larger goals

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Shipping piantings.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Trying to forcast sales & build a consistant revenue stream. Some months sales are great & some they don't exist.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Direct contact either thru email or personal contact, & trade shows.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

About 1 year & have no plans on taking it done.

What is your website address?
