Please give us a short summary of your website?

A directory of imprinted apparel artist and information about t-shirt imaging

What inspired you to launch your own website?

New trends in the t-shirt industry, Blogers and dot orgs use shirt for promotions and donations and online design sites charge mega bucks while getting the printing from local printers in the city of the purchaser.

People wonder what their options are. I have a lot of Colorado art that will go up soon.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My first website is www.artelf2xs.com. I built it in 1995 and hosted it on AOL. I have added Flash gallery's as that technologie became aavailable. It is still the same old site.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Well, I am a t-shirt illustrator with twenty some years in the industry.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Our site is run By artist for artist. We use simple terms to help the General pubic understand the processes/

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

It is a fun place for artist to hang out and Shoot the breeze about the daily grind. I hope people will see that it is more affordable to get good art then use a clip art service

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It gives me something to do in my little spare time.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I'd give it a more custom look and feel that is new to the net. Maybe put the whole thing in a t-shirt shaped window with the sign on bieng a sleeve print :-)

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

If I need to expand the bandwidth I will.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

This is a new site, it is not for profit. I have had no problems yet.

What has been your biggest challenge?

trying to promote the site. Learning new programs to make it more interactive.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I hang out at industry sites where I have Made announcements about it.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

So far it has taken very little time however as people start using the Forums I will need to keep up with it, I have several artist helping me to moderate the place and hop the User blog feature will not become an issue.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It was just launched to the Public last month. I hope to keep it forever,

What amazes you most about internet web sites?

Well there are only 76, 800, 000 sites devoted to the t-shirt :-P
